I was very pleased to see that White Center is having it’s first artwalk this weekend! However, I’m more than a little sad that prior plans keep us from attending. We hope that it’s a smashing success for everyone involved and that more and more local people are excited about seeing a surge of the arts in our corner of the world.

Please come out and support our local businesses and artists!

Most locals know that White Center was home to the poet Richard Hugo, but as Brian Barr points out here, there’s nothing in our neighborhood that exists to remember him. I, for one, would love to see that change and that’s precisely what Mr. Barr has set out to do. Please, go to the link above and join the cause to bring more than an echo of Hugo’s memory back to White Center!
